Or you can just be negative all the time and help no one. Not saying just you but the group. Just a little sad what has happened here.
Some are all sugar on m-town and sing a different tune here . -
Why would u send them a check? I just bought steers today, told them to take it all out on my Friday settlement.
And 224,XXX miles on my Michelin's with 5/32 left. Sorry for the tooting my horn, I'm proud of that!TheDudeAbides and whoopNride Thank this. -
I wasnt saying anyone expected anything from mercer. You can pay mercer directly for anything they have accounts for, you can save the taxes in certain states. Just saves some money when you do buy tires, but you still pay federal excise tax, mercer tax exempt covers sales tax

Because that's what I wanted to do..mtoo Thanks this.

Because the company changed about the time I retired. It's a good company, it used to be a great company. When people read the good and the bad, they can make an informed choice.
I still read a lot of positive stuff, good rates, fast pay, they pick their own freight, no one gets upset when they turn down freight. No one has a fit if you want to bounce home 1000 miles and stay home a couple months. You can go to Louisville and talk to anyone in any department and get a straight answer to any question.
I'm several years removed from Mercer now, and I wonder what I would do if I was a younger man. Lots of things went into the decision to retire. I did not like the direction Mercer was going, I did not like the direction trucking was going. I had a bad day one day and Mercer brought up ELDs, it just pi**ed me off. I'm an old man (not that old, was only 63) trucking is all I've done. I went home, sold the trk and trl and quit. Have not regretted it one day.
So, what would I do if I was younger? Probably go with Mercer. My personality might not be a good fit today (in the past it was a good fit for 27-28 years). If it didn't work out at Mercer I would get my own numbers, an older truck and do things my way.
You guys sure missed out on a great company, it was awesome with some great people in Louisville and some of the greatest agents around. Of course they had about 400 of the best owner operators in the country when I signed on. Did I mention it was tough to get signed on back then.Runnin, spyder7723, Razorwyr and 5 others Thank this. -

I don't think that's it's all negative here at all. Maybe some recently, but the big change with the app has tempers and emotions flaring.
Some people come, some people go, a few good ones got banned, a couple peckerheads have been banned.
This thread has almost 3000 pages, with all types of benefical information and Pete's truck issues....there's only so much to share. Members come in and ask questions, they usually get answered or told to go read!Highway Sailor and TruckerPete1990 Thank this. -
Just curious.... Thought maybe you had a specific reason. Good day Jon Jon
