CR England: No blindside, cant pickup load

Yep. Id get pissed of I had to wait more than 10. 15 Im blowing up PeopleNet. 25 Im blowing up the phone. An hour, screw off Im parking and going to bed.

 

had one of those in laredo one time, was a place down the street from cr england terminal. had a pick up, spent two hours waiting for them to pull the load. they want me to blindside into the very last dock when they had at least 10 open docks. i raised heck, called dispatch and left. as i was leaving the dude there was trying to throwdown.

 

That's a silly policy... telling a truck driver how they can or can not maneuver their vehicle. I would have just blind sided it and took all the time i needed while looking constantly. I'm not sitting for 15 hours knowing i could have taken even as long as an hour to back it in and moved on.

 

Can you ask for another door?

I believe you when you say company policy forbids it. I was at the Ontario, Oregon Loves and a CRE had frozen trailer brakes. He was forbidden from whacking his brake with a hammer - he had to wait on the shop to do it. I've also been in a different shop where the shop guys were making fun of a CRE team for being forbidden from changing a headlight - the shop had to change the headlight.

Dude! Find another company ASAP.

 

My thoughts exactly. When I did ORT I only had power passenger mirror. It was a luxury for blindside parking

 

I was lucky. Had the wife with me, most of the times. She didnt drive, but she was great at spotting me. She could probably back a trailer better than me. Lol.
