    2290 is due Aug 31 for a vehicle that was in service during the last tax period. Otherwise it's due by the last day of the month following the month it was put into service. Or a month in which the vehicle traveled more than 5000 miles for the tax year if you filed as a low mileage vehicle.****

    *** most IRP offices will not issue a plate without a copy of the stamped 2290 per federal guidelines.
