Why on God's green earth do you drive under someone else authority? Knowing good well you can easily do it yourself and not give 10, 20 or 30% (or more) of your gross income to a company who absolutely does nothing for you but pretend to be your friend? Just need help to understand.
Help me understand

Sarcasm? I'm just painfully curious. It's giving me a headache.

Not everyone good in paperwork, or to keep authority legal up to date. Many of them scared of government people and rather someone else deal with all these headache. If it's getting limited with 10% maybe it's not that bad. Worse is that you have no ability to know $ numbers, since you have no control over their accounting.

That's hilarious. Scared of Government? If Jimmy Hoffa was alive today he would be at Pilot J backslapping every company driver he seen telling them into their eyes- Your a #### fool. -
Im leased onto company and pay 10% of the load. They constantly look for loads for me while Im driving, they do licensing/insurance, IFTA filing for me.
-
How much you pay them??
-
Leased on to a carrier with their own customers may mean bigger gross than loadboard freight with the same mileage even after percentage. Not to mention all the risks involved with own authority.
Tb0n3, PoleCrusher and bzinger Thank this. -
what's the risks of own authority?
