That may be just the trick to get fuel mileage up to 1mpg.
It is chained to a turntable so the trailer can turn, fun to watch them maneuver into a tight spot.blairandgretchen, Oxbow, Lepton1 and 5 others Thank this. -
This is where I got my fire hose. Repurposed Materials - - repurposedMATERIALS
They have locations in Denver, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. I gave $70 for 100' of 4" fire hose and a 75' roll of 6 inch wide conveyor belt.1951 ford, Oxbow, blairandgretchen and 6 others Thank this. -
I have a couple of really good hose stores in OKC. For the solution I am looking for I want a slit round hose I can press around the chains, with a slick interior of the hose. About 2' slit pieces would be ideal for positioning at crucial corners of delicate new equipment.Oxbow, blairandgretchen, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this.

I bought 07 freightliner cash money and trailer and ive been living in hell ever since. I hope you do better. Breakdowns and bad fuel mileage will kill a guy. Watch out for the low paying brokers too. If you dont have $10000 in bank within 6 months you might be in trouble
blairandgretchen, Lepton1 and Big_D409 Thank this. -
With a truck that is paid off fuel mileage wouldn't be much of an issue but breakdowns will put a guy under if he isn't prepared.Itsbrokeagain, fordconvert, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this.

Well, I’m 2/3 rds of the way into 7 loads spanning 26 days that net $35k to the truck. At $4/mile to the truck things have certainly peaked in the 3 and a half year curve.
Trade that 2007 for a pre 2003, specialize, and prosper.1951 ford, whoopNride, RStewart and 8 others Thank this. -
I'm pretty sure blair will be just fine.
Oxbow, whoopNride, Big_D409 and 5 others Thank this. -
Blair is on point, as I'm sure many would agree. Go hunt down an N14 and have fun truckin. Just about any repair to that motor can be done on the side of the road (however it isn't the smartest idea).blairandgretchen, Lepton1, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.

My 95 IH 9300 Eagle,Cummins N-14 500. Owned it for 21 years, never once left me stranded on the road. Installed a few injectors,in a truckstop parking lot sometimes, other simple stuff. Heads never off. Only major breakdown was the ECM conked out once, after a lot of years service, luckily in my driveway at home. Great engines.
Itsbrokeagain, blairandgretchen, 1951 ford and 9 others Thank this.
