I see no problem with a 80k balloon payment if I don't want the truck at the end of the lease.
When you lease you want a low down, high residual. Those get you lower payments
If your gonna buy, it is cheaper to get a 2 or 3 year old truck and let someone else eat the depreciation.
Personally, I would not touch a fleet truck. You want a truck from someone who knew how to operate it & got it serviced at a quality shop.
You don't need to work your ### off to be an owner, you just need to work smart.
You L/P a new truck for a buck a mile? You will be working hard to pay for it.

Yeah, that's it! Not good at making money! Can't control a clock! Hanging out at truck stops is numero uno in my book! Got us all pegged, I see...….

Right. I have plenty of time to hang out at truck stops with 21 stops on the wagon yesterday and another 19 today 2 1/2 hours from the yard.

I hope somebody likes the taste of shoe leather.

    Dan.S and Lonesome Thank this.

I think it's like a driver application "clearing house." So you complete an application on tenstreet and companies can search the data base for potential drivers. I think that's how it works.

I’ve observed one fundamental difference between a real owner op & these owner op wannabes (aka fleece purchase operators).

One understands the terms revenue and profit have different meanings and the other seems to think the two terms are synonymous.

And for the most part Hirshbach runs International trucks. And we all know how reliable those trucks are.

Maybe some of the lease holders finally realized how much of a con job it was and started quitting, forcing them to reconsider employing workers again.

Make 120,000 run 110,000 miles pay over 58,000 in notes, escrow, maintaince and another 18000 in fuel. And you make less than a company driver...

    D LOOK Thanks this.
