Nice. I gave it until noon and nothing else interesting popped up so I put the fuel to it towards AR. I need to do some work at my folks' place anyway. Supposed to be loading in Springdale on Sunday for PA so I'm going to stay east of the Mississippi until oh...Thanksgiving lol

You could have gone Sunday morning at 3 am as well - an overnight for a pilot car is relatively inexpensivenikmirbre Thanks this.

If its who I think in springdale go Saturday and drop trailer. Live loads take forever
-
You are correct.
Ask yourself, though, on that Sunday morning run, how far could you make it before you had to stop for a 18-20 hour break?
If I would have the time to make it through Arizona and New Mexico on Saturday, great. Can't do both on Sunday, though. If I could, I would.
Personally, I don't get some of these rules. Seems weekends are a bit safer in some of these areas, but wtf do I know, I'm just a lowly truck driver.Last edited: Sep 20, 2018

You can run daylight hours in NM on weekends. I live in AZ and run into and out of CA all the time. Even I can make it from Ehrenberg to lordsburg in a single 3 am to noon period.- even at 180,000.
An overnight for your pilot car might be $65. Just was pointing out the Sunday option. -
Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't New Mexico shut down on Sunday? If it's ok to run NM Sunday, point me to the info. I have only found Saturday as an option.
I'm not arguing being able to make it through Arizona in that morning run, but I prefer to make it through New Mexico in the same shot. Basically it comes down to a mid day delivery Tuesday or an early Wednesday, unless New Mexico is good for Sunday, then it becomes an early Tuesday and that would be worthwhile to me.Last edited: Sep 20, 2018

It has been close to 3 years now that New Mexico is a 7 day a week travel state. No night travel for the most part.
I run 10 axle, I am oversize even when empty.MicksRule Thanks this. -
Yep, you're right. Just found the info I was looking for. I could have done it that way. I knew they made a change for weekends, but thought it was just Saturday and every source I found reinforced that. Now I know better. Thanks!

I think the shelf is going to work out just perfect. Once we use it for a bit and we're certain nothing needs to be changed I'll cover it with some Marine vinyl that will match the interior color.Highway Sailor, p608, PoleCrusher and 2 others Thank this.
