Everyone will be following the rules with no problem except for couple of screwups, then a new regulation will be made up to control them couple of screwups but all the legal ones will have to follow the new rules.

Why would want to get rid of something that's as good of an idea as fingers for your hand.

Because a lot of people think they hate rules.
Sure they love rules that insure they get exactly a gallon of gasoline or that their electric meter measures correctly or that their food and medicine is safe or their car or their house or the air and the water or airplanes and trains are safe.
But they hate any rules that makes them safe to other people.
    .
Somalia doesn’t have too many rules or taxes, they really should move their so they can be happy

    driverdriver and ZVar Thank this.

To me the whole ELD thing is nonsense.
Remember years ago there was the 55 mph limit? That got changed.

Truckers are the backbone of our nation.

7.5 he days are for lazy people. I met one guy he was #####ing that its hard fur him to run 600 miles/day. He said he averages 400 miles/day.
I think he needs to quit and go work at wal mart just like anyone else who's dumb enough doing reset 2000 miles away from home or maybe 100 miles.
My whole point is doing reset is b.s.. I get my rest at home with family not at some dirt lot truck stop or rest area.

You are why we have and need strict HOS.
You feel that if you are away from home then you should be earning money every minute you’re away.
Truck driving is not for you. You need a daycab or a nondriving job so you can be home.
But we cannot have the ” ifI’mawayfromhomethenI’mgonnabedriving” people out on public highways any more.

See, I'm smart enough to not kill myself working. While I do work 12 hour days, that's only because I get 3 days off a week. I could not imagine killing myself just to make pennies.
Get a good paying job and actually relax and enjoy life.
