Well, I landed a nice little round-trip semi-dedicated gig today with a broker agent I've been taking good care of.

Deliver load & reload dunnage at same location heading back with a couple of drop-offs and reload again...

Don't know how long it will last, right now it's for the foreseeable future. However, 550 mile round-trip at $2,325 and home EVERY night, I'll ride the wave as long as I can ;-)

The fleet owner I work for has Progressive and they won't let him hire anyone with less than two years experience. It's disgusting the insurance has this much control.

I look at it from a different and very selfish angle...it helps to keep the premiums down.

Why would an insurance company, who are underwriting liability in a highly litigious industry, be "disgusting" for setting their own requirements & standards for those they insure? What am I missing?

    BUT.....
    https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/sites/fmc...v-personal-conveyance-regulatory-guidance.pdf

In the above link, which is the FMCSA guidelines for PC use, in the examples of what is not qualified as PC (page 13 point 7)

"7.Time spent traveling to a motor carrier's terminal after loading or unloading from a shipper or a receiver."

They're OK, if you travel from a terminal to home, but not to a terminal from a shipper or receiver. Is a yard (trucking parking lot) a terminal? If not, it could make my life much easier too.
I could deadhead on PC from as far as Toledo, OH to my parking and hop to my Personal car and go home instead of staying overnight at the nasty TA in Gary, IN.

Just one right now. But I already have in place plenty of other work at my disposal.

Last week I put in a whopping 1,100 miles ;-)
