If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say no. They test for chemical contents within the hair follicle itself. Residue gets washed off in the shower.
I personally think that hair follicle testing is over invasive and says nothing about a persons ability to work...especially in light of the legalization of marijuana...which should have never been illegal in the first place. Also, when you take into consideration the people that are now being prescribed medical marijuana for various ailments, the fact that a person may have done marijuana up to six months prior to working for a trucking company is just ridiculous. It would be like testing for painkillers six months after you went to the dentist for an extraction. It's completely irrelevant to anything at all.

Landstar does require hazmatAnnonymous Thanks this.
-
Yes, upon further review, you are correct. YOU DO NEED HAZMAT...even if u don’t want to or intend to pull it. Lol. As a felon, I can’t obtain it so most felons can’t join landstar.
-
Will Landstar work with a new entrant or do they have a time frame to wait before doing any work for them?
-
Depends what your felony is as far as getting hazmat.
Not sure one way or the other if it disqualifies for leasing to Landstar. -
Not sure if LS will lease on a felon, but if you can’t get your Haz endorsment then it don’t matter much because they won’t even talk to youDave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Gotta have a hazmat to be a Landstar.

1 year minimum verifiable OTR with winter experience.
-
So Landstar will not work with a new Authority unless you have one year verifiable OTR with winter experience?
Even the places that won't load a new Authority most of them are only three to six months I thought.
