@skytrash I live in Oklahoma and when I was with Mercer I always took a hit coming home. Usually dead headed 200 miles home and usually about that far to get out.
I would come off of it even if I sat all weekend. I wouldn't pull the load now just out of principal.

I keep forgetting this is "truck drivers", not business owners. Doing something correctly is not normally how things are done in this industry.spyder7723 and JonJon78 Thank this.

He's not..neither is the other driver...

Wednesday morning I'm driving along minding my own business when I get my typical red light at the Cottonwood, Ca weigh station. Then I get the green arrow pointing right and the sign lights up directing me to bay 2. I pull in and leave 15 minutes later with new stickers on the truck and trailer.

Thursday I unload and reload. Stop for fuel 50 miles later and notice a 12" crack on my right side windshield.
Saturday I get a new windshield without my new inspection sticker.Highway Sailor Thanks this. -
Do you pay for repairs, parts, and everything else using your fuel card?
I personally only use the card for fuel nothing else, then I charge any maintenance or supplies for the truck onto my business credit card and pay it off every month. I get 2% cash back on any purchase made. Certainly not a ton but it does add up overtime versus getting nothing. -
Ya my previous house was all brick, with my Sprint phone would have to stand outside just to make a call, then switched to Verizon and the problem was no longer.
Seems a lot of times at night in a busy area like a truck stop that even though my phone or tablet is showing 4g it still tends to be extremely slow... That's gotta be because of all the other people in the area "overloading" the line at all one time.
What state do you live in @roshea ? -
If i get a repair at loves i just use my fuel card. I'd rather pay cash as much as possible for everything
