To earn over 100k for dropping and hooking most of the time, standing on the dock or sitting in my truck for live loads/unloads some of the time, and telling dispatch when I’ll get the load there instead of them telling me that it has to be there.......I’ll wear the uniforms. This is the least stressful trucking job I’ve had, meaning, they tell me where the load goes, I tell them when I will get it there.

Good informative post, but sadly the pajama pants, gut hanging out of shirt 2 sizes 2 small, haven't showered in Can't remember when, flip flop wearing, knuckle dragging neanderthal knows more than the actual WM p.Fleet driver.
He also netted 140k last year on his fleece to a mega while taking 3months off cuz he wont drive in the snow.

The ones ragging on Wal-mart couldn’t get hired on there, so they bash the uniforms and the micro-management.

I still disagree with the term micromanagement when it comes to working here. The tools and equipment are in a truck i dont pay for and that i decided to want to drive. I havent changed how i drive since when i began driving just because i work here. Ive only became a better driver over time. I remember not to long ago i was getting messages from my driver manage telling me how things need to be done. Here at Wal-Mart transportation its the opposite. Only time i talk to my boss is if i have a question or a concern. Almost never having anything to do with driving a truck. I talk more about life than i do driving. It should mean something that i know 95% of the drivers and staff here by name without having to glance at a nametag...and they know mine. This is a lifestyle of people that actually give a crap about your wellbeing and not just how many miles you can put on your truck a day.Trucker61016, LAtrucker2390, braceface and 3 others Thank this.

People keep talking about all this micromanagement. Where? I never see anybody being micromanaged. If a driver is talking to a manager, it's because the driver went in there and initiated the conversation. The only person that I've heard of getting their butt chewed out is because he set his ETD (when he would be ready for his next dispatch), and then slept through it.
You gotta realize, driving a Walmart truck is like driving a 75ft billboard everywhere. EVERYBODY knows what Walmart is. That's why Walmart has so many rules for their drivers. They have to in order to cover their #####. But it's not unbearable. Do your job, and nobody will bother you.interpreter, LAtrucker2390, braceface and 5 others Thank this.
