    Hey All,
Been researching the trucking industry for a bit now and have come to the conclusion that I think I'd like to team truck. Mostly for 2 reasons: Don't want to OTR forever and want to save a lot of money in a shorter amount of time.

Anyone have any insight as to the best trucking companies to get in with for team driving? Hoping to find a good company that will pay for CDL training and get me on the road team driving.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know if FFE will hire you in CT, but you can try.
Teams there running LTL freight can make $1500 weekly for each driver.
FFE has their own cdl school and also hires from private schools.

I know what the website has, but they've been hiring from all over the place lately.

Hey, thanks for the info. I notice on the site it shows .55/mi for teams, even after 5 years. Maybe I was misled, but from a lot of the stuff I've been reading, I was under the impression that teams were usually making around .65-.70/mi, give or take. Is that totally incorrect?

.55 cpm is a little low, but average. Accessorial pays jack up the paychecks a lot, which is why those FFE teams can make $1500 weekly.
CRST has cdl school and is ok if you run teams to California on a "dedicated account." CRST gets some bad press from rookie drivers, but haven't read anything negative about the dedicated Caterpillar account that runs to California. CRST has the shortest contract of any company I'm aware of; either 6 or 9 months I think it is. @Wienerschnitzel
Jim Palmer Trucking is good for teams. They have cdl school and a good pay structure.

Thanks, I will look into those also. I've read OD has pretty good mileage pay for teams. Not sure if they're very easy to get in with, though. Also, don't think they have CDL course prior.

Old Dominion is one of the best. The only cdl school they have, that I'm aware of, is in Greensboro,NC.
They do hire from accredited cdl schools that are on their list of approved schools. I'd use a credit card if I had to for private school, if Old Dominion will hire me.

Jim Palmer is a good option. You'll get the choices narrowed down, then choose one.
