There’s a woman that works the gate that’s nothing but sunshine and giggles. She’s older, has long hair run through with gray, wears glasses, and is a bit stocky. Can’t recall her name, but every time she sees me, she gives me a hard way to go (in a joking way).MartinFromBC and 06driver Thank this.

Glad to hear. Thought it was just me.

I used to drive for Fedex Freight. Switching to Walmart was the best thing I ever did.06driver and MartinFromBC Thank this.

You tell it like it is and that is the best advise around here. In my case I can tell the new guys that I am a workaholic who will hit 124k this year, I have extended 33 weeks out of 52 and I didn't take any time off in 2017, I got cashed out for 26 days (over $9,000 in February). I would change and improve many things around here but compared to most generic trucking jobs, this one is very sweet. If things don't change too much, I will be here 10 more years until retirement. Good luck to you all.tommysb1, 06driver, Bossman027 and 2 others Thank this.

As a newbie I can tell you how I've done. Did the onboarding in Laurens SC Nov 11, came to orientation in Bentonville Nov 19 for 3 days, then went out with my mentor for Saturday and Sunday so far. Both days I earned $350+, and didnt feel rushed. Mentor helped with computer, but didn't do any work for me; I did it all with his coaching. Both days were pretty close to 14 hours of work, but not feeling rushed or stressed (other than the stress of new computer and someone watching over my shoulder). Once I learn the system and am on my own, it seems I will do pretty well...but if you want to make the money you heard, be prepared to keep the door the left door closed and work a full day. Not a big deal, but some folks want to spend more time at the truck stops than behind the wheel...you can do that but don't expect the income.

Around here you need to stay out of the driver's break rooms wasted time and negative attitudes will affect your pay more than anything.
