He said $2 per mile after the split, so I'm assuming he means the truck profited $4 per mile. Still either making great money or lying through his teeth. *Shrug*
Why do you keep pulling for cheap rates???!!!

I sometimes wonder if my own truck thinks about me sometimes.
Rideandrepair, Dave_in_AZ and Gumper Thank this. -
What I just learned today would make this guy excrete broken glass, and in the shock process - he’d clean every last shard with his tongue, in an attempt to extricate knowledge from the remnants.
I kid you not.
But after the knowledge hit me - one of the things I thought about - was this thread.
Carry on fine folks. -
Awesome Dave.

$2/mile x 3350 miles is $6700. We are loading at the receiver and going 600 miles for about $2500 so our average is higher. I was just wondering if $2/mile on a long run is considered “cheap freight”. My wife and I love the new hot tub and our Disneyland/San Diego vacation was great too.Last edited: Nov 29, 2018

We get about 70% of what the load pays which in this case worked out to 1.98/mile for 3350 miles.Tug Toy and LtlAnonymous Thank this.
