Now I know it's not the fault of the swap..700 miles didn't do this...but ####...

Still something they should have caught and got fixed.

The other day, I was doing a trailer check (making a list of trailer numbers at the location) at one of our customers in Texas. Another driver saw me and came and told me that one of the trailers was broken. When I asked what was wrong with it; they said that the tandem pins wouldn't release so you can slide them. I go park in front of it and hook my airlines and start airing it up. I finish the trailer check and go back to my truck. I set the trailer brake and go check to see if the tandem pins release. And, sure enough they do. They other driver was still there, so, I go over and tell him they work just fine. He couldn't believe it. I asked if he aired it up. He said yes. I then asked if he remember to set the trailer brakes before trying to slide the tandems. The look on his face was priceless.

Do we still use the drop yard on San Bernardino as 2017?

That's a good question. It's been moved so many times.

Looks like it's the same. Can't wait to get there. I'll take the Bronx over LA any day, but I did get this pic of the hollHolly sign. :)
    Edit- lol *Hollywood

I've said this before but if you're going through Ontario Oregon get your fuel at the Pacific pride across the street from the Love's I just put in 89.5 gallons of B5 biodiesel that's already winterized for $2.52 a gallon. The loves across the street cash with a puc is $3.22.....

    Just saying....

Sometimes I wonder where JCT finds these people. This is part of my conversation with an OTR driver this morning after he found out that I'm Texas only:

OTR: You really should go back OTR. That's where the real drivers are at. Not ##### footing around just in Texas. Stop being afraid of the road.

Me: I did OTR for 6 years and military for 4 and a half years before that. Time to spend more time with the wife kids.

OTR: Well truckers shouldn't have families anyway. It's meant to be a lonely job. Ain't no woman can handle her man being away for so long. Besides, the real money is in OTR.

Me: Sounds like you hate your life. Maybe you should change jobs or something. There are plenty of women who can handle their man being gone for long peroids of time. Military wifes do it all the time. Yes, some can't and will run to the arms of a Jodie, but that just means she was weak and didn't love you anyway. As for money; I'm just as profitable as when I was OTR. Only I'm home more often and putting half the miles on my truck. So, when my truck is paid off, it won't have 600k miles (or more) on it.

    OTR: *shrugs* and walks away.

Seriously, if you're that miserable doing OTR or just trucking in general. Go find something else. Preferably something you will like to do.

Add three air bags to the three tires on this trailer...

Though I am impressed. The little airbag on the back that pushes out the suspension stands blew...

One of the previous drivers cut the air lines to it, folded them over, zip tied (to not leak..as bad)

Then put an old oil filter cover over the blown bag, zip tied it to the frame and hid the line to make it look like the bag was fine...

Lots of work ..instead of just going to a TA....
