I believe him. The previous owner probably had someone do the delete that didn't know what they were doing. Once the previous owner realized he got the shaft, he sold the truck.

DOT in California won’t even look with a level 1. It’s not there job and they couldn’t careless. It’s the “Blue” (CARB) van’s that will have a field day with him “If” there set up.nikmirbre and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Well I bought it from my buddy so he said that it’s by passed and I didn’t know it was illegal, he just said it’s better for the truck and better mpg I was just naive enogh to believe him

Dude i bought it from his mechanics by passed the whole system so the def gage always show that it’s full and they delete it from ECM as well. They just didn’t do it right. One of those Chicago shops
