Beverage by far with food you dont have to rotate, stock, build displays and stack kegs. With food all you do is wheel it in and kick it off. I also doubled my salary from beverage to food. Only upside to beverage was the family atmosphere and free case of beer every week but I'll be a number and buy my beer for 30k more a yearRideandrepair, road_runner, Bob Dobalina and 3 others Thank this.

I haven't had any major injuries yet but if you haven't gotten hurt then you must have been doing baby routes for those 15 years. Had crap fall on me, slipped once at a customer due to their negligence (oily floor and I wear ansi/osha slip resistant boots) got stitches etc but I never report it because my dirty company would write you upRideandrepair and Mooseontheloose Thank this.

My old company wrote me up once cause I slipped and fell on an icy step. I was still in the emergency room when I got the call. Didn't even ask if I was ok, just that they would send me a letter of reprimand overnight via our truck mail service and that I needed to sign it the following morning.Mooseontheloose Thanks this.

That's exactly it. A driver that quit six drivers before me refused to sign a letter of reprimand because our company actually was in the wrong. They wrote him a second letter of reprimand for not signing the first letter .
The circumstances were that he met a chick in a parking lot. She backed her truck up to his lift gate and told him to line up the ramp to her bed and then slide the pallet in with the jack. The pallet ended up being way too heavy and one of the rollers dented the bed. She authorized everything and there was no company policy in place that justified a reprimand.
