BS I have never ever had a problem getting any kind of loan ever. Anything I have ever applied for has been given to me. Last time I worked hourly was when I was 23 years old wich was 26 years ago.
Just built a new house 2.5 years ago and was approved through 4 different lenders without a blink of a eye. I was rate shopping and I got the best deal in town.
Of course I have also never ever been late on a payment and never over extend myself.

You know! The squeeze. Lol Chances are they’re yanking your chain. Only planning on doing the loan if big money can be made. Or interest rate quoted is not possible . Meanwhile they’re wasting your time. I had that happen to Me last time 6 yrs ago. Common practice I’m told. Left Me hanging at last minute. All they need is Past Tax returns and current pay stubs. Period. Most Realtors have good loan originators these days. That’s what saved Me.Other great offers were blowing smoke. If You don’t have an agent get one. Get a Buyers Agent. So many new rules in financing now, many still don’t understand and are afraid to do any unconventional lending. Find a Profesional

Now that I think about it they didn't ask for pay stubs from my previous employer the employer there having problems figured out my pay. I guess I need to ask them for them.

Yes it does seem that way. I have excellent credit and make plenty of money and have plenty of cash down you'd think it would be a slam dunk process.

Tax returns for previous years and pay stubs for current year. I had my accountant do a profit/ loss statement as it was this time of year. Based on my #s , She prepared it. Loan flew through. Otherwise file taxes after Jan 1 st use that

yeah I'm think that's what I'm going to have to do. that is file my taxes in January and then once it's processed use that. unfortunately that will mean waiting several more months considering how long it typically takes the government to process the tax return and all.

Try finding a mortgage company that does something called "manual underwriting". Most places use a computer formula....if they can't make your information fit some sort of algorithm, it'll get spit out as rejected. A company that'll do manual underwriting uses formulas too, but they also use actual living humans that will look at all your information as a human being and not some math problem.
