2EA4DCE6-567A-4E93-81F6-71622A4F5054.jpeg 4 trucks tangled up on top of bridge in Midland Texas this morning after freezing drizzle just before sunrise. They were West bound at the 143 mm. I think there were fatalities.....

    Ouch.

Been down that way a few times in those conditions - most that regularly run that way aren’t used to ‘inclement weather ‘ , being aware of it, and adapting to conditions.

Fortunately no fatalities......From Channel 7 News in Midland/Odessa:

"MIDLAND -- Texas DPS and TXDOT have told CBS7 that crews are working to clear a crash involving at least eight vehicles, including several 18-wheelers.

The crash happened on Interstate 20 at mile marker 144 where I-20 bisects Business 20 at about 1:00AM.

According to DPS Troopers on scene, all of the trucks were heading west on I-20 when a patch of ice caused them to slide.

One of the semi trucks overturned in oncoming lanes of traffic, almost sliding off the overpass.

Troopers say that one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

TXDOT says that one westbound lane of the Interstate has been re-opened and traffic is moving slowly."

Yep we were on the CB when someone said someone died, I guess they were wrong, I see blood on the front driver tire, below the driver's door,,,,I don't see how they got out with minor injuries. Amazing!

Blood can be replaced quickly if the survivor is still alive with a heart beat. That's the trick. Get to him or her before that thing stops. I lost quite a bit recently but showed strong vitals so they let it go and added huge fluids until I wanted off that IV a few days later. Im pretty much replacing it with my own marrow in a few weeks.

This is why I don't waste my time with a CB. Too much BS. Not just "I ain't got no panties on". Just bad info. There always seems to be an "information minister", like Baghdad Bob from the Persian Gulf War, just spreading total BS.

Example: I was WB on the Indiana toll road, and a 4 wheeler went in to the median and spun out. A couple other 4 wheelers stopped to help on the EB side. No flipped vehicles, no stopped traffic, just a minor slowdown on the EB side and some people walking in the median and on the shoulders. Somewhere around me, going WB, an "information minister" started giving callouts to EB. There's an accident, yada yada yada. At first, he stuck with the facts, but the farther he went, he started embellishing the story, and after about 30 miles, the story had grown to... the road is shut down, and they're having to lifeflight the victims. The Information Minister's imagination went wild, and so did his report. I wonder how many drivers wasted their time taking an alternate route based on this idiot's fantasy.

Anything coming over the CB must be taken with a grain of salt.
