As a former resident of the Land of Lincoln I’m afraid you’re the one who doesn’t have a clue.
But that’s fine with me,you aren’t hurting my feelings.

He told you!!

About the only thing he got right is about the Hotdogs and Pizza. Other than that he knows nothing about my job history or where I'm from etc etc..
No need to further stir the pot. -
And yet you’re here talking about how corrupt Illinois is and how bad the taxes are. There are parts of the country that have far worse issues with both subjects.
You opened up Pandora’s Box-this is what came out.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Smh i was going to work for one of the windy outfits (from Atlanta). Skeptical of course, failed drug test on my record, 3 accidents, 1 ticket, 5 yrs experience though. I forgot the name at the moment but they promised .60 to start, 3000+ miles, the usual. I was told i would get a call back once safety checked me out and i was accepted by their insurance.
Two days later dude called me back excited like. Told me i was lucky because safety doesnt approve people so quick. All i had to so was get to Chicago on Monday to start orientation, they would reimburse me for all charges. The very next day he called me back saying the EXACT same spillt! 'Wow i cant believe how fast safety approved you. That usually doesnt happen.....' smh sounds like dude was reading from a script.
Well i didnt show up of course. He called and texted me for three days straight. Sounds tooooooo danm fishy to me! I really doubt all the companies up there are bad though. #cbf4lifeLonesome Thanks this. -
Just be really careful and research company before "jumping in". Many are "under new name" but same old management, same office crew, sometimes even same shop/office location that some recently sold, closed or bankrupted company.
( in my case I fell victim to Alex Logistics that I've read on that forum became running under Natex Freight System not long after they stopped paying me and many other drivers/owners , warehouse workers and mechanics - Alex logistics now running as Natex Enterprises. )Veteran driver Thanks this. -
In what is a question...

You may read that to since that is how such companies may likely operate...
