Don’t listen to Debbie Downers.

I take a lawyer to help lessen the punishment ticket of running a red light you're saying? Would it help? Police and insurance report already state I was at fault and I admitted to such on record. Could a lawyer help at all?austinmike Thanks this.

I'ze juz ####in wit ya man. I had a good laugh when you described a t-bone accident at a stop light as a "fender bender."
-
I try not too! But when near identical words are spoke by many, even if they are Debbie Downers, I can't help but think there'd be a bit of truth to them and be worried.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Absolutely do NOT lie about it on a application. Depending on the company and their needs, they might be willing to work with a blemish or two (though T-boning a car isn't a little thing). But if you lie on an application, that's something NO company (at least none that YOU'D want to work for) will pass.
And as for getting a lawyer (one specializing in transportation law); the idea isn't to get you off the hook, it's to keep violations from showing up on your license as moving violations.Lepton1 and austinmike Thank this. -
Actually, I describe it was T-bone, but the police and firefighters described as a 'fender bender' due how damage to the vehicles were so light and there was no injuries - essentially what one expects out of a fender bender as they said.
-
Oh no! I wouldn't lie about this. The truth will come out one way or another. I may try to down play it but who wouldn't? I plan to be honest about my history, rather it's for better or for worse.
-
If you lie, lie about something that can't be disproven. Like when it says "additional activities or things you think are pertinent to this position" You can put "I have spent years working at food banks to help feed the homeless in my community."
Nobody will question that but they will be impressed by it. -
I don't mean to be harsh, but misjudging a stop light and getting in an accident, is a pretty big thing. I'd be worried about you in an 80,000 lb. rig that takes over a football field to stop.
tinytim, magoo68, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this.
