I don’t remember the name of the outfit (maybe someone will know), but there’s an outfit in MS that pays well over a 100k a year. But, the catch is the stuff they haul will melt you like salt on a snail if it touches you.
They had a female driver that got disfigured bad when got careless and unzipped her protective suit on a hot day. A hose was still und pressure when she unhooked it and that crap went all over her.nickel619, Badmon, visionarygvp and 1 other person Thank this. -
Like @Weeble Kneeble said we haul corrosives M-F and off weekend and make good money. You’ll earn it though. Most of the things we haul could eat through you.
Badmon, Dh46 and Weeble Kneeble Thank this. -
$100k per year.....those jobs are out there but not in great abundance. If there were, every CDL holder would be working for them. Every person has their own path in this industry. That being said, you should call Stevens Transport. Somebody who works there will say they take home 100k.
Dh46 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
Just curious, how much experience did you have before you got with Plains All American? I’ll be 30 in a few days, just got my CLP about 2 weeks ago, I still need to have tanker and hazmat endorsement put on my license which will be a piece of cake.
I just want to know how you started and where? Right now I’m trying to figure out which company to get my CDL through since I don’t have the money to pay for trucking school. I just want to be able to get with a company where I can get experience moving crude oil, or hazardous materials to work for one of these oil companies in Texas or Oklahoma. -
If you don’t mind sharing, which company are you with? I just got my CLP two weeks ago, now looking for a good company to sponsor my CDL training in California. Pay to me is of the upmost importance, I’ve heard a lot of horrible reviews about pay from some of the mega companies out there.... I just don’t want to fall victim to that.Mooseontheloose Thanks this.

How much experience do you need? I just received my CLP in California and I’m looking for a company to sponsor my CDL. I’ve been OTR almost 4 years but non CDL, I’m looking for a good company and I am not trying to fall victim to one of these companies who feed you a bunch of lies about pay and be stuck with them for a year or so.
