I had an inspection go very bad, resulting in about 10 warnings.
No ticket was issued, but yes this is going to blow my psp score.
My main problem was that my elog was down and I was forced onto paper logs. I failed to account for the time zone change between local time and my home terminal, and got multiple falsification of log entry warnings for that day (basically one for each stop i made that day). Also got some form an manner violation for putting the incorrect bill of lading number on the log, and failing to indicate a state on one of my stops.
I looked at the points table and its about 42 points total, putting me north of 120 for the 3x multiplier.
I think there is a strong possiblity, that I will get fired this week. Should I be looking for a new career this week or what are my prospects?
I have 3 years experience, and before this my record was spotless.
Large number of warnings during an inspection, will I be fired?

Sounds like an honest mistake. If it's not your fault for the ELD program being down I can't believe they would bust your chops. That silly cop should have given you time to straighten out your log, what a d!©]<

He said he was doing me a favor by not writing any citations, would have been about $2,000 total if I had goten a ticket.

I just googled psp scores and a site called ,8 Facts you should know about psp scores,I'm not too computer savvy so I couldn't copy the link, look it up,I think it might help. Yeah their always doing people favors.I'm pretty sure he was supposed to give you time to get your log straight.Happened to me in Tennessee before ELD's and he told me about it,I fixed it,no problem.

Time zones mean nothing in the logbook world unless you were logging local time instead of company time. I always set my truck's radio clock to company time(plus I have a battery powered stick on clock on the dash). Basically, if the company cans you, it will be tough to find a driving job with that level of points. That scale is a PITA, I know quite a few people who got inspected and popped for something there.

I also thought after 3yrs there is no multiplier,

Don't worry about it until it happens. Its done now. See your boss throw yourself on his mercy lol. There's a lot of guys out there with a bunch of csa points too. Just depends on your job situation. Its not cut and dried like some people would have you believe on this site. On the other hand most of the time I've gotten a ticket for a minor infraction its been in leau of a bigger ticket lol good luck
Oxbow and Tombstone69 Thank this. -
I did a little research, you can actually contest the cops findings, like I said ICC regs.used to allow time to get your log straight,If he didn't allow for that you have a chance, also from what I've read 3yrs is straight pts..I'm not out that there, so I don't know.I plan on getting back out there so I need to know.I also read where they can revoke a company's authority if they receive too many points. That opens a big door to corruption if you ask me,and to can a driver for a simple mistake like that is ridiculous. Why was your ELD down if you don't mind me asking?
Oxbow Thanks this. -
This incident has seriously made me considering thinking leaving this industry. I hate my company (though not trucking in general). I was actually planning on quitting next week (before this incident happened). Even if I don't get fired, I think I'm going to shoot myself if I get trapped working here for 3 years before these points roll off.
I wish I had left a week earlier. Oh well, time to rethink my life plans.Bean Jr., bentstrider83 and IluvCATS Thank this. -
Eld was down because a wire sprung loose while adjusting the position of the tablet. I had tried unscrewing it myself but was unable to repair and had to wait for the shop to fix it.IluvCATS and Tombstone69 Thank this.
