I typically have taken 3 vacations per year at my current gig in which I am at 5 weeks and rarely take individual days off except for illness.
Would a new guy be able to score a week or 2 during the height of summer or would those normally be taken by senior drivers? (Menomonee)
I've finally got the whiskers here to get a summertime vacay where we only allow 4 guys off on any given wk and not sure if giving up my union seniority for a new position would work if not.
As an aside I remember delivering to walmart warehouses in Bentonville or Lowell areas in the late 70s where they wouldn't even let drivers touch anything, was a great place to be.

If you have a route, do you get to keep your rig and can you pick what kind of truck?

More than half our revenue comes from selling food. Not gm merchandise. I was originally only comparing meat/ produce to frozen/dairy. And what is this "premium" you speak of? Only premium i know of is based on miles on weekends.

I meant revenue to store. We aren't speaking of the same subject. The guys that run frozen make more per day than us at night running m/p. Which is why they may get rid of the adp protection next year starting with FDD drivers who can make up to 450$ to $500 a day running their clock out with pull aheads and such. That may not apply to guys running nights that have to, more likely than not, be back for their depart times each night... sometimes meaning leaving hours unworked on the table... if that answers your question.

If you use a C-PAP machine tell them as they will install a smaller wattage converter that runs all the time to use. This is in addition to the bigger two hour one. I use one and when i was slip seating had to have a tractor with one fitted till i bought a converter that plugged into a cigarette lighter.

    Lonniex Thanks this.
