Good to see you in here. I've had Trucking things that didn't go well myself. Several times. So you sure ain't the only one. The next chapter is usually better.
Except for that Team driving thing with Uncle Pete the Lobster. We argued so much we never turned a mile. Probably a good thing we didn't work for the same company. We were trying to simulate how we were going to operate using texts. Say I was out of hours in Toledo headed to Houston, I'd tell him in a text where I was at and where I wanted to wake up at.
It never failed, I'd wake up in the same place I went to sleep at. So I'd text him and say "what the heck is this ? I told you to head to Houston 10 hours ago and I'm still sitting in Toledo. What've you been doing all night ?"
He'd insist that he'd done 680 miles and he was heading east from Topeka on his way to Buffalo.
So I'd tell him "what in the heck are you going to Buffalo for ? The freight is supposed to go to Houston ! You Big Dummy ! Look at the Peoplenet !"
Then he'd insist that he was looking at the Qualcomm and I must have lost my mind because it was plain as day that the freight was supposed to go to Buffalo.
We couldn't agree on anything. Not even the Truck number. Trailer number. Color of the Truck. Automatic or Manual. Which highway we were on. Even how much fuel was left.
I'm telling you we argued about everything ! Just everything !
Luckily it didn't come to blows.
I guess it's lucky for both of us that we weren't in the same Truck, eh ?

At FJ somewhere on I-75 GA... there used to be a time when all the parking spots here were FREE!
And I would always find a good parking spot even in the evening... but NO MORE....
Arrived here at 16:23 and all the good parking spots are FREAKIN RESERVED!
After circumnavigating the whole parking lot, I decided to pay for parking.... the company reimburses....
But still... I get mad for paying for parking.... I am not coming to this truck stop after 16:00 any more... it's a waste of time.... :angry2:
I am not good at creative parking :biggrin_25513: and get very nervous about folks hitting the truck at truck stops.... :biggrin_2552:
Here I am now... got one very good spot... after all... it costs $15.00... :angry1:

Going to leave at 1:30 am central time and don't want to deal with anybody blocking me....
