Yes slip seating is a pain. But I make better money changing trucks every day or every other day than I do if I get a 5 day truck. If I'm in a one day truck I can get 500+ miles and at least 6 pieces of activity. When I get a 5 day truck, I wind up heading straight to 7034 or 6080, etc. And make less money for that week. So it's not ideal to switch every day, but it is more lucrative.
truckdriver31, mxpx148 and MilkyJay Thank this. -
i know when i slip seated. it was the opposite. my days just sucked. my adp is the highest its every been. i have ran fill in at 7045 the last couple of weeks.

Yea it's usually the opposite. But as long as you are making money. Keep it up. Typically when you have a truck thr whole week, they are quick to give you long trips away from home. Don't be afraid to let the roc know you are willing to run. I did just that and got loads from va to oh and ny. Do what works for you.truckdriver31 and mxpx148 Thank this.

You can call the ROC and request longer runs??truckdriver31 Thanks this.

No. Lately they have been just shifting capacity. We go up to Toby or Smyrna and those drivers go to NY and Woodland. They just sent 30 of ours to Smyrna Monday for the week.truckdriver31 Thanks this.

Not exactly like that but if you see yourself only getting short runs, you can always let them know directly you are willing to run hard. Coordinators can help if theres a problem. I got tired of just running to va beach and back to sutherland so i opened my mouth. Started getting runs to Ohio and such. Sometimes they need you to do specific runs but not every week unless you volunteer... like running nights over here at 6858. Not many can or want to run nights but it's rewarding.mxpx148 and truckdriver31 Thank this.

what did yall do last week that required air coupler lock.

The yard drivers were taking the empty trailers you guys bring in and are supposed to have available when you leave and loading them with pallets and other stuff. So when you bring in an empty, put a lock on it so they can't use it while you run our freight.truckdriver31 Thanks this.
