CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

You shouldn't rush these things...weather is crappy. Rolled into Joplin today, Turned down an isle to drop my trailer and take the tractor to the shop. I wanted to go right. truck and trailer had differing attitudes. What I thought was wet was actually glare ice. I was only doing 5mph, if I had been going 10, I would have hit the light pole and I would be a facebook star. I wonder if I can deliver this load going to Iowa via the simulator...

What is a 2 week automatic course?

Will be in nogales ar in a few. Has anyone tried those rubber seat cushion things in Petros and ta? Not the purple one. Debating on getting one. These new truck seats are not nearly as comfy

 

It’s an accelerated CDL course... did not realize this until I got here... they are only training me on auto, so I will get the stupid restriction, but whatever lol...

I know, already lol. Just gotta get my body used to it was what I was trying to say...

 

Setting yourself up for failure going that way

 

Don't worry about auto/manual. Hours can be a grind.
If you manage your time with good trip planning you can work in a long nap most days.

Agreed... don’t get me wrong, if for any reason in the future I would change companies, I could always go back to get the restriction removed... if the company I would be going to doesn’t have automatics by that point...
