Been starting 2 hours before our regular time, now we're starting 15 hours early. And all the freight is on the dock instead of still boxed up on the yard. Give us a week, and we'll be right back to normal.![]()

Beware of AB freight in Rockford IL if they dont like you and your in the 90 day window theyll let you go for no reason. Scammers and cheats make you do crap runs and expect 200% from you because they pay you ok NOT WORTH IT

AM dockworkers
Why do they even exist? Lately everyday us city drivers have to load our own trailer. Or rework the whole thing

Those 10am guaranteed deliveries are impossible when you leave the yard a little after 11 and your first stop is like 40 minutes away. The only thing guaranteed at FXF is damaged freight or some skids missing.
misterG, road_runner, MACK E-6 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I prefer loading my own. The driver who knows the route knows all the ins and outs of who closes early, which stuff might have to come back, which addresses are wrong...I'd rather just load it myself.
Fuelinmyveins, carl320, misterG and 1 other person Thank this. -
Seniority rules man, has nothing to do with scammers or cheats doing crap runs and that 90 day window is to protect the company if they think you're not worth keeping, better to get rid of you BEFORE you're in the union.

If I was still on City I'd be right there with you. Just leave my stuff in the bay, give me my bills and I'll do the restGearjammin' Penguin Thanks this.

I did my first linehaul run last night (Almost 500 miles).
I lost about an hour at scales and adjusting tandems. Hopefully, I won’t have heavy loads too often.McUzi Thanks this. -
Wish I could load my own trailer. Every single week I get stuck with at least one pallet that isnt compatible with my pallet jack. Worst part is I haul flooring products and having to constantly break down a 1.5k+ pallet cause the dock workers don't care about doing their job is starting to get old.
Fuelinmyveins and Cardfan89 Thank this. -
And somebody from on high isn’t raising hell about all these free deliveries due to having missed the deadline??.misterG Thanks this.

We had a customer that chose the guaranteed by noon delivery because we rarely ...and I mean almost never got to his location before 1 PM. We only charged an extra $20 for the guarantee that we rarely kept. To him it was a good investment since we only got it to him a handful of times without getting a claim.LoneCowboy and Fuelinmyveins Thank this.
