    TTR:

Rookie drivers aren't getting trained well enough! Should be at least six months behind the wheel of a pedal truck behind the pre-school, followed by another six months of team driving with a seasoned veteran micromanaging their every move. The standard of drivers these days is abysmal! What a bunch of lamos!

    Also TTR:

Back in my day, my truck driving training consisted of my boss just tossing me the keys to a Peterkenbiltworth cabover (spring suspension, no power steering, no A/C, no heat, no matress, and air powered wipers) and telling me to have that reefer load of turducken to Chungusville by tomorrow morning. Was a 1500 mile drive. Had to run fifteen logbooks to do it on time.

On a serious note, I agree with @blairandgretchen . It's a sad state of affairs when there's far too many drivers out there who are motivated to train strictly as a cash play, rather than actually wanting to train the next crop of drivers to be...um...competent.

I read all the responses, thanks.

@Lee79 is not “concerned that he ONLY gets 6 hours of wheel time”.

He’s concerned he’s not getting TRAINED and the focus is on making the delivery.

What I failed to convey was just what @Czar_Zero illustrated - every other TTR thread complains about untrained drivers. Hypocrisy.

Threads like this one below. Where is the trainer?

Yet when TRAINEE posts on here, he’s a limp wristed snot nosed millennial?

    Supposedly one only needs, ..........

    Have acquired their CDL's

    Have completed PSD training

Have completed TNT training (40k miles)

Upgraded from a "B" seat driver to an "A" seat driver

Have completed 3 months as a solo driver

To become a Prime Trainer. Or at least this is what I'm hearing, seeing on the FB pages & hearing back in Springfield.

This much I do know for sure and certain.

    #1 I won't BE training

    # 2 i won't BE leasing

Supposedly there's no discernible statistical difference between a trainer with three months experience or ______years experience.

I defer to Mr. Mark Twain, ..........

"There are three kinds of less,

    Lies

    ###### Lies

    And STATISTICS!"

I agree on the not training part for sure. I was asked where I am currently at if I would consider training. I said thanks for the offer but no thanks.

The attitude and general demeanor of drivers today is not worth the headache. I have no problem with helping somebody out, but when someone cops an attitude and states "dont tell me how to drive, back, or do a proper pre trip cuz I have skid Mark's in my britches older than you".....

Usually only the skid Mark's part is true;)

One of the more common things that's constantly hammered again and again in finance?

"What's the ROI, Return on Investment?"

    Training?

The ROI is a big fat negative ROI!

Unless I read it incorrectly what this trainer is doing is completely illegal .. A student with a learners permit must always have a cdl holder in passenger seat .. if I misread disregard this post
