Ill got some problems

Does IL have a law about pulling over a lane or slowing down fro flashing lights? Not that anyone there would follow it, just wondering.
-
Yes they do its named Scott's Law and being a driver from Illinois I'm ####### sick to my stomach that even other truck drivers and 4 wheelers just don't pay attention to what is up ahead and don't yield for flashing lights the law is tough but I think the mother ####ers who hit and injure or kill these state employees should get the same thing done to them!! God bless the families of these deceased and God #### these either drunk or distracted drivers!!!!77fib77, magoo68 and Trucker Kev Paid Tourist Thank this.

RIP Thankyou for trying to keep us safe
Bud A. Thanks this. -
What bugs me is trying to get over and being blocked by car drivers who aren't paying attention. I would like to see everyone held to professional standards out there.

Oh Lord, if you want a revolt of 4-wheeler drivers, suggest that they should have to get a medical card and receive continuing education and retest every so often if they want to keep their driving privileges. Add automatic 10-year suspension for any DUI, reckless driving, etc. for more entertainment.
And then pass laws that the larger vehicle is always presumed to have the right of way, the same way it is for planes and boats and trains.
I don't know why the people who talk about this are all concerned with autonomous trucks. That's a much more difficult problem. Let's make the cars autonomous first. It would take a lot of bad drivers off the roads.Bean Jr., NavigatorWife, Moon_beam and 3 others Thank this. -
I would to but we can still slow down. I had three different can haulers today on i80 near LaSalle on i80 east who had time to move over or slow down for the Trooper who had some one pulled over and not one of them did a F ing thing and when I got by them it looked like all of these drivers were talking on there headsets or holding a phone!! I maybe be a newbie but I fear for my life and others who are to concerned with their conversations on there f ing phone then to pay attention to what is going on and that is for anyone behind the wheel of a vehicle!!NavigatorWife, magoo68, Omega1 and 3 others Thank this.

By the way a cook county sheriff was killed today by a 16 year old driver not to from my house here in Illinois. Charges are pending. My thoughts and prayers for his family

I'm up on the ones for boats and trains, have only read some Ernest K Gann (Fate Is the Hunter) for the planes, which is great stuff but somewhat outdated, technology-wise.
Anyone interested in the boats do a search for COLREGS. Wikipedia has a half-decent page on them. The railroads all have their own signal definitions even when they share a rulebook, and most of their navigation is controlled by someone else, all they need to do is stop when they're supposed to, yet there are still head-ons.
Meanwhile highway drivers are not required to demonstrate that they truly understand what they're doing, gotta sell more cars.NavigatorWife and Bud A. Thank this.
