What idI like to know is why everytime someone has legitimate issue with whats happening that many folks start attacking the ones bringing up the legitimate complaints...mercer i believe is still one the best co's out here but for some to just ouright go after anyone who has anything negative so to speak shows that some are just flat out brown nosers.....there's NO reason for it as some do have legitimate issues and such...i frankly are tired of the brown nosers...

Don't misunderstand me. There is plenty to criticize mercer for. If my comments directed to you came off as attacking i apologise, they certainly were not meant to.

I just disagree with you on a couple specific points.

I've been in the midwest the last 2weeks and it's horrible... A lot of the customers will use to Hall for all the time are no longer on the board anymore and there are some very good paying freight... Like Columbia City Indiana even when freight was boom and last Year There was no loads out of there... I watched this that very closely and observe what's going on and notice a lot of the places we don't go to any more that will use to always big got bout of regularly even when freight was booming.

Lol. Nope. Furniture and electronics for broke people. They keep going to there rent to own stores.

It's not just Mercer. Learn what makes trucking tick. The entire trucking industry is down. The rates and freight volumes from last year will never be seen again. Once the extra trucks that were put on the road last year during the boom are gone freight capacity will come back to match truck capacity and then rates will be back to normal but not as good as last year.

Nevermind. Not even worth the comment.

What you need to understand is people aren't defending Mercer as much as you think on this topic. Trucking is down everywhere not just at Mercer. Why should the agents go after more freight if all the customer is willing to pay is $1.60-$1.80 a mile? You guys won't haul it. You'll just ##### about all the cheap freight the lazy agents are putting on the board. Quit trying to judge the state of trucking from Mercer's load board. There's more to the story.

I have been here 4 years now and seen lots of customer we ship for drop from are board and I’m sure there are lots of reasons agents quit and take their customers with them drives piss them off I’m sure the list goes on and on

Customers come and go for a variety of reasons, in good times and bad. Maybe Mercer was undercut on price, maybe Mercer’s safety score was no longer satisfactory, or maybe it’s as simple as the actions of a few drivers caused Mercer to loose that account.

It’s easy to point fingers and accuse, but without facts it’s really pointless. And for the record I have no dog in this fight.

This is one we disagree on. I was just in Michigan and that whole area had great paying loads. Nw ohio, southern mi, northern indiana. So when i see a ton of good loads and you say its dead, it confuses the heck out of me ance i think you are either being too picky trying to cherry pick like we could last year, or have your loadboard settings to restrictive.

We still pull out of Columbus city just not a much as last year. I didn't see any loads from them this trip when i was up there, but when i was up there in march they had a few oin the board. That plant has slowed down big time due to less new construction going up so it only makes sense that we will get less loads from them. Also we arent a preferred carrier for them. They prefer to use cheaper carriers. In 17 and early 18 capacity was very tight so they were willing to pay our rate to get product moved. Capacity has loosened up so they don't need to pay us cause they got hundreds of guys begging to pull those death trap loads for 2 bucks a mile gross.

Mercer's safety rating does suck..I've confirmed that..most of it is driver related for stupid crap.
