I have 9 years experience running the Southeast, East and part of the Midwest. Dry van and reefer. I'd like to stay Southeast (including TN, AL, MS, KY, WV, VA) with decent home time. Prefer a company with affordable, decent benefits, 401K, etc....Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

ask for John. the Transportation mgr /dispatcher. good guy, used to own his own trucks. his wife drives there also. so he knows the deal.
we would go with a load from the warehouse and come back with a broker load the next day usually. off sat and sun, unless you needed to leave sun to make a delivery.
lanes run from Cleveland down to Fla,(maybe), Va bch, GA, Ala,W Va, Sc,.

1. Cussing him out (depending on what you were saying is grounds for termination
2. You have no idea what is in his file
3. Take everyone's advice, be honest and move along to another company.Aamcotrans, TripleSix, newdriver2 and 1 other person Thank this. -
if you do get another job, can you start taking time off to go to court?
many times, you are at the court house, or getting updates on court appearnaces and you manage to have that day off, only for the court to be moved to another day, time, etc..
can you go thru that? will a new employer go thru that?
like someone else said, it may not be the cussing you did...but what YOU SAID, that got you fired... -
Don't ever run team again.
Your 58 years old.
Do you own thing.ncmickey, SuperRookie, peterd and 5 others Thank this. -
It is very unlikely that the EEOC will even take the complaint, there isn't much to this industry that would qualify as age discrimination and it would not be this.
Move on, get another job, if asked just say it was not the right fit for you. Don't vent or act like it is something that is a big deal, the person interviewing you will just put you on a no hire list.SuperRookie, JoeyJunk, buddyd157 and 2 others Thank this. -
I sued General Dymanics Land Systems of Canada. I’m sure law varies somewhat from state to state to province but it’s all still British common law. I worked there 17 yrs. We eventually settled out of court 10 years later with no interest.
Doesn’t sound like you were working there very long. Your payout is based on years of service so even if you win, you don’t get very much unless you’ve been there a while. The exception to that rule may be if they recruited you and you quit another job to go there.
By all means check your state laws but if it happened to me here in Ontario, it wouldn't be worth the time or money.Last edited: May 23, 2019

Just find another company to work for and get over it. Maybe team driving is not your thing.
JoeyJunk and bentstrider83 Thank this.
