I think anything further is futile. Round and round and round.

Ultimately the stamped GVWR on your door will tell you what the gross weight that can go into that dump.

Ive run a dump in my lifetime, make that two different kinds. And to be honest with you, the weight situation was not that important. With the exception of one bridge that was weight restricted we just fill it, weight at company scale so boss man knew what amount of materials buying for that job. And go.

I mean ofcourse you have to abide by the fbf on interstate but on state roads I believe it’s 64k from what I’m gathering but I’m trying to figure out how they get that number on tandem axle I’m reading up on some Type of grandfathered law that’s why I’m hoping someone who drives dumpntruck in Georgia would chime in lol

It was 64,000 when I ran a tandem dump truck. It’s been a few years but I don’t think it’s changed. If the quarry overloaded you they would make you go back and dump some off to be legal. The asphalt plants I went into loaded on the scales so they wouldn’t overload you.

Hi - I also would like to know what is the hauling weight limit in tons allowed or can carry on a single dump truck in Georgia. I am planning to haul coal ash from 2 sites under 30 miles from each other.

    A repeat poster.

Since the last guy didn't really get an answer. Call the state dot numbers in the atlas. Then you get first hand information from a phone call. Immediately.

Now if you woulda asked about the west coast. As it's all pretty much the same regs.

The east coast is screwed in the head with their regs. They allow more weight with less axles.

A tri axle on this side of the country only gets you 56k.

    Over here. We need axles.

We'd be thrown in jail packing that much weight.

If you “don’t have a scale ticket” you actually get an extra 6% on the Tri axle for 81k, same with a trailer, 5 axles 99k, ending at 104k with the “allowance”

RI is the same, BUT if you get caught over weight, it voids the permit so if your 105, your fine begins at 80 so you are 25k overweight not just 1k
