Understandable. Life is all about compromise and sacrifice. In your case, it's well worth it.

 

Then if that is how they want us to do it so be it. Some of us will have to retrain our brains to do this makes sense. I always get out do a walk around from the driver side first then come back around pull line crank down gear drop bags pull away.

 

So I've got some questions. I sent my app into Walmart about 2 weeks ago and got a phone call yesterday about coming over. Phone call lasted about 40 mins and I'm really impressed with what WM has to offer. I live in NNY and have two DC's close to me. Marcy is the closest which is GM and Johnstown which is Grocery. Which of the two would be the better DC? Can I call back and say one or the other? Marcy would work better bc it is closer honestly. Just wondering how the pay would be different with D&H vs multi stop M&P and FD & dry loads. Also for a short time early in my career I ran with an outside carrier pulling wm trailers in Johnstown

 

Personally, I would go with the GM DC.

 

If I call back today an Express interest in GM would they allow a change? When I applied a couple weeks ago only opening was for grocery

 

That.... I'm not sure. They may tell you that you have to reapply to the GM facility. Couldn't hurt to ask. Also, you can hire on to the grocery DC, put in your year, then transfer.

 

That's very true the pay probably evens out with the drop and hook for gm vs the multiple stops on grocery loads right?
