Tread lightly at the same time try not to be a doormat, if that's possible. You will be free from your employment contract in just 100 days. That will go by in no time. From everything I've seen, wife/husband teams are in high demand and can easily find high paying company jobs.
Has my FM lost their mind?

So what is the name of that company ?
Cattleman84 Thanks this. -
I appreciate the positive comments. We have done our best to be cordial and not "complain" with excess.
We are both a bit to old for whiny behaviors and we know this and that is why I asked for suggestions here.
We work for CRST Expedited and despite personal feelings, know that we will look better for finishing our contract and to do better research before moving on with another company.
Thanks for the replies!QuietStorm Thanks this. -
We are contracted with CRST Expedited Inc. We fully realize our mistakes there and accept it for what it is. A dumb move on our end, but with a contract it is what it is.tscottme Thanks this.

Start recording calls if you can. Once you get a couple ###### calls, ask for a sane FM.
-
Another option would be to stop talking to the FM on the phone. Document everything through whatever e-logging message system you use.
If they call you, crumple paper by the phone and complain that they are breaking up and need to send you a text message.
They are much less likely to tell you to do illegal things if they know they are on the hook for suggesting it in a documented manner.88228822, magoo68, RollinThunderVet and 4 others Thank this. -
I’ve been in your shoes. She’s in a mega carrier and the problem is these companies are so big the departments don’t talk to each other heck they don’t even know each other because of the high turnouts regardless of type of job in the company.
If I were you I’d deal with it until your contract ends. No I’m not telling you to drive something that is DOT illegal remember when something happens and they find out it was not legal it’s your ### and you can bet on it that your DM or FM will throw you under the bus the moment they can.Gearjammin' Penguin and sevenmph Thank this. -
All of those situations become bedtime stories for your grandchildren.
If you are sick go to the ER after you parked the truck somewhere legal. Do not leave and return to ready state to accept loads until you feel better. That will take a few days once other things are ruled out. Dispatch will just have to wait.
Forget the 1700 miles to fixit. It's fixingittoday. No BS. Make sure you instruct mechanic to fix leak or whatever. If mechanic is any good he will stand up and tell the company "Pay us" for these defects.
And so on.
You are in a failing company. GTFO. 3.5 months left on contract means how much or how little do you two stillowe? Find another outfit. -
Some companies are all or nothing. Meaning if you leave anytime before your time you owe the full amount.
-
So we're dealing with the Crash and Roll Stunt Team? I thought the big companies had whole buildings dedicated to safety. Get ahold of somebody who's job it is to keep the CSA score down and they'll probably do something about it. Oh, and how did you drive with only 4 hours of sleep without the ELD and safety screaming at you?
D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
