I think a lot of people get talked in to rebuilds. If the head goes down why not go ahead and put cylinder packs in? When in reality all it needs is a head. But they say it’s junk cause I had to have it rebuilt.

    haycarter and spsauerland Thank this.

Cummins obviously knew they had problem with cams because they came out with a wider cam lobe and cam follower on earlier ISX. Issue still remains. Simple answer is soot from EGR and lack of maintenance.

I will help out anyone I can and try not judge their choices, but I don't think the driver did his due diligence with the choices he made with his livelihood. Nothing can be blamed @ Cummins at this point. If you choose to let someone modify your ECM, remove a very efficient turbo, and looks like block off a large amount of coolant flow with removal of cooler then don't be surprised when I doesn't last very long.

more or less. i have no idea if they are 100% same

version g211-12, 14,93-1,00 is available here up to 456hp and 2200nm/2400nm in top gear, 44t grossweight

here version g281-12 14,93-1,00 is available up to 578hp and 2800nm, grossweight of 68t, can be equipped with twin plate clutch

overdrive version g330-12 11,63-0,77 (USA overdrive dt12 ratios are 11,67-0,78)
so i guess they are not same.
USA version is 1850lbft rated and 130k lbs with approval and twin plate clutch
g330 gearbox is capable of pulling gcw of 342K lbs

    spsauerland Thanks this.
