I'll be frank. I tagged on to Holland cause they got the same amazing health benefits as I had with Reddaway. Freight is down and I got some serious concerns about the stability of YRC running this three ring circus.
Plus, this union I was forced to join has been docking me for the past two months on fees and has been spamming me with propaganda but not the paperwork I need for my benefits.
I am about to jump ship

Sounds like the Teamsters are worried, as they should be.
They should’ve stuck to what they did best, which was to keep management honest by mitigating favoritism and personal vendettas on the part of management.misterG, Mike2633, road_runner and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wealthy people simply don't care about anyone else.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Evidently they don’t care much about themselves either or they’d park their crap somewhere out of the way.Gearjammin' Penguin, Mike2633 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Maybe he saw it as rough, but when I think of going out to eat I ask myself if I want to go eat food prepped by drug addicts or stay home.Mike2633 and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Most of that stuff is leased, luxury cars turn into expensive nightmares after a certain period of use, a wealthy person will have read J Paul Getty's quote about never buy something that depreciates, too lazy to go look it up. You hit it, they just get a new one.Gearjammin' Penguin, LoneCowboy, Mike2633 and 1 other person Thank this.

I think I can get the insurance thing resolved. But I got some concerns on the long term. It seems like YRC is slowly gutting the regionals. New Penn just lost their HQ and everyone is speculating that it will lead to a larger consolidation and merger. Even if I have ten years of employment when this happens, with 50 other drivers I feel like I won't have enough seniority to survive this. I guess with three months in I don't have much to lose. Quitting while being ahead isn't that same as quitting.

New Penn was using the same interline carrier as we are from 1972 to 2017 when New Penn dropped them.
Now New Penn is handing all the eastern shore freight to some other outfit not far from our terminal, who in turn is handing off the freight going to that part of Virginia to the one-man non-road worthy cabover straight truck operations that are probably working for pennies on the mile.Cardfan89, Mike2633, road_runner and 2 others Thank this. -
I'm sorry you are going thru this so early in the job but keep your chin up and just remember that you aren't sitting at a grocery dc waiting 15 hours to get unloaded without getting paid....while not an ideal situation that you are in it could be a hell of a lot worse.Bob Dobalina, Mike2633 and road_runner Thank this.
