what do you think about marten transport they offered me 1.25 per mile plus fuel surcharge (loaded miles) 0.89 empty all practical miles, 30$per stop, and 30$ after 1 h detention time,is this a good company to work for???

I don't know anything about Marten transport, but I used to deal with the old man when he had his first Co, and after he went belly up and started up again with some kits he put together, when one would go down in my area. he was a straight shooter, with me anyway.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -

Why be Owner Operator for them at $1.25/mile when they claim to pay $0.62/mile as a company driver ? They should pay the same rate for loaded and empty miles.

I sit about 2hrs each day as a local driver because of when I can drop my trailer to have an empty for return trip. I make $62.50 for the 2 hrs of waiting. $30 det for a O/0 in 2019 is a joke $30 stop off running refer? Thats $15 per hr avg if your lucky. OTR, what a screw job
