Trucker Lays Over On Runaway Ramp

and it scares the heck out of me to that these are out here sharing the road with our loved ones..

 

That article was enlightening. I didn’t know you could still get milk in cartons...

 

This is kind of scary knowing that there are many worse grades around this country that is probably thinning the herd a bit. Part of the problem is the roads are crowded now and the HOS regulations make some think they need to hurry always because they may lose a second here and there.

I'm only here because I misread the title as "truck rolls over on runway" and I was very curious about how someone managed that.

However since this seems like a pretty standard consequence of complacency and contempt, carry on.

 

I drove past that before recovery got there. At first, it looked like he missed the ramp and hit the ditch next to it. That had to be one #### of a stop.

Enforcement was very active and visible that morning. I almost never get lit in Dumont and I had an inspection + brake check. Jeffco Sheriff was working just down the road at Genessee, too.
