GP transco?

GP transco is legit, yes it was started by Eastern Europeans, but they offer vacation after 6 months, 401K, an obtainable weekly bonus, a guaranteed minimum of $1000K. They are in the top five of highest paid van fleets out there. I know a guy that lives the next town over from me in South Carolina, he loves it there.

 

He gets over 3K miles a week, and last year made in the Mid 70k (that’s before this new weekly bonus program was implemented). I read about the deer issue, don’t know if that’s true or not, next time we speak I will ask.

 

Is it no touch freight there?

 

Interesting that this thread resurfaced today, in an unrelated coincidence this article came through the news feed on my phone today. This place sounds almost too good to be true. I'd be interested in hearing from someone actually working there?

GP Transco has it going on.....high pay, nice terminal that is pretty new. They have some of the best equipment on the road, and they aren't small. If these guys were based somewhere other than Illinois, near Chicago, they would not have many doubters. The big lie is that all Chicago companies are crap. The truth is, they are not any more or any less crap than any of the reputable companies.

 

Chicago is the key. Best rates in the country are "Midwest". That means: Chicago.

 

GP isn't legit. Don't care about drivers. No consistent miles, forced dispatch. Dispatcher cares more about the company and their commission than your miles. They will make you sign a penalty charge back system fee from your paycheck in orientation to take money from you at their discretion. You never get the bonuses unless you kiss ### and eat crow. When you raise concerns they say it's standard in the industry. They pay PC Miler short miles not practical miles. They speak English but don't comprehend the cultural regional dialects here in the US. You state out longer and miss your home time calls, remember Commission for dispatcher!
Miles avg is 1700, 2200, 3100, 3800, 2500, 1600, 2800 etc...6 months in and avg pay is 1,055 a week.
