Not so sure I want to work for Wylie...my application was being held up because of "vendor issues" when I called this past week. I have to wonder if it was because they are switching over to Wylie's systems. Not good. Put in my application to Maverick today.

In a nutshell, Daseke decided that merging a specialized glass hauling company with a glass hauling division of a general flatbed freight company was a better idea than merging a glass division with a specialized glass hauling company. Probably because our management knows a lot about the glass business, but they don't know how to run a trucking company. We are now Wylie, our loads use Wylie trip numbers. We scan our paperwork with a Wylie transflow code. Our fuel cards say Wylie. Plus, after the 1st of the year they will begin restickering our trucks with Wylie logos and truck numbers. Moore drivers are suppose get a call from someone at Wylie this week explaining what the next steps of the assimilation we will be going thru in our transition into Wylieworld... essentially there is no more Moore freight service.Last edited: Oct 6, 2019

Houston for 3 am - set appt, won't unload early, then they want me to p/u in Irving at 8 am and be back down in Houston the next morning at 8 to a different customer. Told them it'll be noon before I get to Irving, my 3 am del people think their time clock is a dairy cow and they milk it for all it's worth.Bud A., drvrtech77, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Got my courtesy call from Wylie corporate yesterday. And, to quote Yogi Berra "It’s like déjà vu all over again". Reminds me of my first few days at Magnum. It was all "we're all about the driver" and "we're here to help, if you're not happy, we're not happy". Knowing full well, after this transition is over and we are full time Wylie drivers...we won't even get a pat on the butt after they get thru bending us over and breaking it off. I honestly believe, if Mr. Moore would have seen where his company would be in 2 years, he would have reconsidered selling it to Daseke.
If any Moore drivers read this thread...let's just all have a 3 day case of blue flu and stop moving glass...they can't fire all of us...Last edited: Oct 8, 2019
