Really! I was told a totally different story!
Had to provide Proof of occupational or workman’s comp insurance by November 1st.
And if they do that’s ok too!
I make more money working on trucks anyway!
I’m just getting old and trucking is easier on the old body.

Just bought 8 Michelin drives at the Petro in dodge city Alabama today. Man they are super nice and I was in and out in an hour and 15 mins! That’s gotta be some kind of record!

Caught a glimpse of the load board from a buddy of mine. How are you guys surviving lol
JonJon78 Thanks this. -
remember when you see a load board you see what is sitting and available, not what is dispatched and on the road. Good loads will be gone in one or two minutes. I and others have said it over and over, build a good working relationship with an agent or two in your preferred areas and that will make a huge difference. Not all freight makes it to the board.379_largecar Thanks this.

My Omnitracs made the switch to ELD and I did not know it. I accidentally caused an error yesterday and had to call Omnitracs tech support to straighten it out. That's when I discovered it was now ELD not AOBRD, good to know since the inspection procedure and required paperwork is different.
Not a fan of the 5mph drive line, I would be okay with 10mph. Got fuel and did post trip, then ended with 1 minute drive time to a parking spot. 3mph is just ridiculously slow to idle through a parking lot, especially a big one with a 400+ parking spots. I guess that could be done as yard move just in case we are out of driving hours, but still it is a huge irritation and inconvenience. -
It should, doesn't your contract say first empty first right of refusal? an agent giving a load or a driver taking a load not on the board would violate the contract, right?jsnell Thanks this.

I believe that changed in a contract addendum a while back. Either way, if that was strictly first empty then no one would ever have another load until they were empty, that would make planning a good trip impossible. -
I Can tell you for a fact not ALL freight hits the board
I've gotten loads that never touched the boards They were long loads too almost 1900 mile loads

Information I was asked to post to TTR about the California O/O situation:
As of last week a hold was put on leasing any new contractors from Calif.
No decision has been made on the current Cali contractors.
A transportation law firm has been hired to sort things out. But there is no January 1 date to cut their leases.
If I get more info I'll post it.Big John Classic HQ and Cat sdp Thank this. -
It's all in some of these guys heads. They think that they've built these magnificent relationships with these agents here and every load they get never hits the board. Never mind the 20 trucks that's been sitting empty, they can sit and wait... Mr. Relationship builder is in the area, F the other trucks hes getting that special load cause hes a special driver.

Why dont some of you hot shot high roller big relationship builders post a screen shot of your yearly gross so I can get a woody and you can be my idle. I'm waiting...........Last edited: Oct 16, 2019
