You are correct he does get all the miles, he did hear from them today, because they received a call for a reference from another co, they discussed it and he has decided to go back solo while he decides what to do, solo is .42 cpm, was hoping they would up it since they we're concerned about why he wanted to leave, thanks for the suggestion about new post, when the time comes I will do that, thx again....

There is a sign at the Indianapolis terminal that says roughly, “Don’t report to the Safety Department wearing flip flops.”
Seems maybe they are scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Maybe this year they will start buying white Volvos and offer orientation in multiple languages.bzinger, Cruisin thru, IluvCATS and 3 others Thank this. -
Don’t jinx it! Next thing you know the head of the safety department will be wearing sweat pants!! Lol

If you stay with this company for 30yrs you probably don't even know if their good or bad compared to others? I mean a lot has changed in 30yrs.
I remember when Werner used to train in frtskr century's then stick their drivers in a pete 379. What a comedy show that was watching them try to back those bent up petes after training in a frshkr. -
Glad he is looking for a new job. Sitting around not getting paid for someone else's incompetence and mistakes in my opinion is being treated badly.Misty60 Thanks this.

I recently spoke with a recruiter and I was told that out of school you get paid $630/wk for training. After training you get about .58/mile and can bring in between $68-70,000/yr. I find that a bit hard to believe but these are the infamous dollar store accounts where you're unloading the rig. With all of the work one has to do on that account it isn't hard to believe it pays well. It's just that no one wants to work it. The recruiter came to our school and said it and they told me the same thing on the phone. I'm not sure if it's true or not because I've read many reviews saying to avoid those accounts because you do all the work and get paid something like $10/hr when all is said and done. I'm not sure who is telling the truth but I do know what the recruiter said sounds too good to be true. Anyone know any more about those dollar store accounts and the pay?

Dollar general is way too dangerous for you. It's not worth it. Never do dollar general, Dollar tree, family Dollar, etc
-
Why do you say that? I heard it's very hard to park in there due to the tight areas where these stores are located but that's about it. I've never heard of them being dangerous.
-
Do your homework. You stated why it's dangerous in your reply. Tight spaces, customers blocking path, locations, etc is just way too risky. Not worth the risk

Many are in lousy neighborhoods, also.
