Ever since I got into this truck, the wipers have been awful. There's 4 speeds, 1 and 2 don't hardly work at all. Sometimes the wipers will wipe once or twice and never again until I switch it off and back on, or they'll wipe once every minute or two, and its at completely random intervals when they do wipe. Speed 3 and 4 and are too fast for a light drizzle, so I'd rather not have to use those.

I've heard there's a rain sensor. I popped the cover off on the top of the dash and it looks fine. Could be faulty though. What's the point of the rain sensor? I don't have auto wipers, I have 4 speeds and expected it to work just as it does in a car.

Sounds like it's acting just like the last Cascadia I drove with Auto Wipers, they were utterly useless.

Did yours have a auto symbol or something on the wiper stalk? Mine doesn't, so I don't think I have auto wipers, and probably no rain sensor.

It was labeled as auto on the stalk I believe. And the rain sensor was located in the box at top center of windshield where drive camera is mounted from factory if ordered.

On mine the first two were variable speed intermittent wipers. They never worked right, in my opinion.

In a light drizzle I would tap the washer button once to get a swipe. Tapping it won't activate the wiper motor, that takes about a second or so.

If you have the Detroit assurance at the top center of the windshield, the rain sensor is the black round thing.

It's the one on the right side under the cover, the big center one is the lane departure, nanny b.s.

My wipers did the same thing. Take that cover off the thing in the windshield and unplug the sensor on the right(it's also the light sensor for the auto high beam/low beam when your headlight switch is in the "A' position). Then you'll have normal wipers again. The 1st intermittent position is variable speed. You turn it on, it wipes, to change the duration of the pause before it wipes again, you turn it off and wait up to 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Your wipers will then cycle at the pace you set the pause for.
