3406B mechanical problem

    Truck starts fine when cold but after running a while will not start back. Seems like it's losing prime. Have replaced transfer pump, primer, fuel filters, and checked fuel lines coming from tank to injection pump for obstruction. Engine temp runs 150-160. Beginning to think it may be injection pump itself. Would appreciate any suggestions.

    That’s where I’d start. Mine have come home a few times with the rod crimped back at fuel-on, or broke off. Usually if they’re bad you’ll be able to hear a buzz or a rattle out of them if you energize them and leave it for a 1/2hr or so.
