This is a question that's always been my hangup in considering a career in driving. I have IBS so sometimes I need to stop urgently. I know that when I get to driving on my own, I could bring a camping toilet with me. What about while training though? What are the odds I'd get with a trainer who would be ok with me bringing one?
if i was a trainer and my student took a #### in my truck. id probably throw him out of the truck.... while moving...
Tell the company about the issue and ask to have a trainer that's understanding. Schneider has the shortest training period of 18 days, I think.
Back in the day I had a colleague who suffered from IBS. One day he's stuck on I-95 in a traffic jam in Philly. Uh oh, he needed to stop. He pulls his service van over to the shoulder and gets in the back to do his business. A trooper drives up behind him, gets out and looks in the front windows, doesn't see anything and walks back to his cruiser. Fortunately, the officer didn't see him on his bucket. He gets out of the back of the van which then triggers the officer to get out of his car. For a few long minutes, it was a tense situation. When my buddy tells the story, you need oxygen cause you're laughing so darn hard. I feel your pain.
if you have documented IBS, then your primary care doctor should give you a prescription. if you only think you have IBS, and you do not have any documented proof, then seek a professional ASAP, and get started on meds. there are some meds that will stave off or control IBS. otherwise, you ain't gonna be taking a portable ANYTHING with you on a trainer's truck. i would not allow it either.
