Oh JOY...gotta message that our Peoplecrap units are getting an update this week...and the message said it is "to enhance driver experience"....which means, in Android speak....gonna totally bork the whole system and make it more glitchy.

And I got a txt from my new travel agent asking what time I would be in Arlington today....I sent him a message on Monday telling him that it wouldn't be until Thursday when I deliver this extra addition (since I had to wait until Monday to load it) and that my PTA would now be Friday. Grrrrrrrr...this guy must have worked for Big G at some point because they use to not pay attention to messages either.

Bad couple days to be on I-90. Last night, eastbound, not far from the Petro exit a driver rolling west hauling ammonium nitrate had a medical emergency, crossed the median, got airborne and rolled it over on the eastbound shoulder. So there was a leak in both his trailer and his fuel tanks.... Last word is he survived, but it closed both sides of the interstate. This afternoon at 13:30, eastbound was still closed.

Then, today, just before Moses Lake I got held up by this(sorry for the bug guts, my dashcam has a wide enough viewing area, the wipers don't always clean real well there)

Amazingly enough, no fatalities in any of the vehicles involved (the car in the middle of the road just decided to stop and chat with the trooper). Life flight was called, along with numerous ambuances. It must have just happened right before I got there, because no first responders had arrived yet (I was 300 yds away). But, waiting for the people to be safely removed from the wreckage delayed me enough so I couldn't make it to North Bend and spend any of SPD's money on a parking space...so I cleared the scene as soon as they released us and stopped at the Love's in Moses Lake and will head in before traffic gets too bad in the morning. As bad as the wreckage was, I was surprised there wasn't anyone killed.

Man there is something about Washington drivers, they just suck. I say any load that delivers to the western 3 should have $50 Hazard pay.

well I came out of the house Monday, heading for Wichita to drop my empty wing trailer for maintenance. I was scheduled to load a tractor out of iowa going to Oregon. Then on the way down I was told to rescue a load for our system company, 14’11” wide, 15’ tall and 95’ overall length. Going from Missouri to Ohio. By the time I got to Wichita, both loads had canceled.

so I twiddled my thumbs until Tuesday morning. Went across town and preloaded a small oversize for another driver. Then a Wylie driver brought me this backhoe out of texas going to Kamloops, BC. We transloaded it and off I went. Made it to Wellington, colorado last night. Now 680 miles later I’m outside of Great Falls, Montana. Should deliver first thing Friday morning.

(You will have to use your imagination, can’t get the #### picture to load)

FFS I guess it did load. Luckily I’m only 18k on my spread, I tried to get these #### axles closed for BC, but the 17 year old pins were not having it. That’s fine I really didn’t want to have to open them back up just to unload.

Something interesting. The scissor lift I delivered in Casper had the original b/l stapled to the back of a photocopy of an SPD b/l. The interesting part, there was already a signature on the original b/l and it was dated back in June. It almost looked like someone delivered it to the wrong customer and then it got brought to the Wichita yard...and stayed there. Scott said it had been in the warehouse for more than a month, and he was glad to get rid of it.

Also, I saw a Wylie rolling east today and his load was covered by a new looking blue tarp....with Swift printed on the side.

Lord have mercy, too bad you didn’t get a picture. The rumor mill might never stop with that one.
