I came back from being off for 4 days only to find that with the newest upload, the Qcom had me driving the whole time. 109 hours straight.
Pretty bad @zz, huh?

I've been off since Thursday, so I don't know. Logged out Wednesday. We had our epic crash when the time changed.

Right. I even had my electrical turned off.
Thing is, they say they can't edit drive time.

I was on paper for 4 days. Even scanned in a trip with them. They fixed it all I suppose, at least that's what I was told when I called logs.
They said it's in QC servers. I think they ( at Landstar ) don't really know how to fix things in logs.

They lied, they can edit drive time.
When my truck was fixed, the mechanic backed it out of shop, it went driving mode for 56 seconds. 3 hours later, countless calls, 20 minutes on hold, and two faxes later it was put down “Driver forgot to update status”
I called up and said “wtf?! How am i at fault, i was logged out per instruction with truck in shop flagged”
Then they did it right “mechanic moved into shop per repair”
I think it cost me my lighted pen gift set though..

I just switched from aobrd to Qualcomm ELD. The thing is giving me fits. Daily it pops up with an exclamation mark denoting the ELD failed for a minute or two then next day it rights itself and we start all over again. Sometimes after I've stopped it gets stuck in drive mode. I've tried logging out and in daily and I've tried not logging out. Makes no difference. Today after switching to off duty I had to do a parked regen. The ELD switched to driving and stuck there through the whole regen.
Our safety says they can't adjust drive entries either.
It makes me so mad the govt can mandate us to use technology that isn't ready for launch yet.

I guess the only time I could do something like that was pretend to take 7 days off on vacation with the tractor by paper logs all 168 hours of it. (7 days.)
What was not said was there were three loads delivered in that time period. If I had gotten caught then it would have gone very very very bad. OOS at a minimum and a huge audit for the boss. Sometimes I wondered if he was addicted to the income from those loads coming and going that season.
Next time I am off. No one knows how to find me until it's scheduled time to be at the yard. -
I hate the new eld. After mine updated over the air it's shut down on me twice at random while driving. At one point it stopped working entirely, but luckily I was only 35mins from the Portland OC who simply switched out the Qualcomm unit for another one. Works now, but I still have a red warning that references a time it had an error and restarted. Stupid system, shoulda done more testing and kept the aobrd longer.
