even though I'm still new, just throwing this out there because I see both new and experienced drivers doing some of this stuff, and not all of it is exactly safe. It's like common sense is gone.
First, for the love of God, when someone is passing you and only going about 1mph faster than you, slow down and let him get past so traffic can move. you're only losing a fraction of a second, and not causing a huge line waiting to get past. he's passing you because he's going faster, just let him get past and get out of the way.
Someone is going to forget to turn their high beams off once in a whole, you will too. Don't turn your high beams on to retaliate against the guy blinding you... Now you have two truck driven by blind people on the road. Do what you have to do to stay safe, once he's pay, forget it ever happened. You turning your brights on and blinding him can cause a crash, and someone can die, as so you can make a point, over something that you probably do once in a while.
One tuck gets out of the way easier than 4. if the entrance to the partying lot is getting backed up, let the person trying to leave grey out. That's a trick that's not in the way anymore. taping him in wool only make the problem worse.
There's more, but I fits get back to work.

No way am i slowing down. If you ever look at a scan gauge the worst fuel consumption is from slowing down and then speeding back up. Slowwing down by 5 mph and then speeding back up uses about .25 gallons of extra fuel in my truck. If he can't go more then 1 mph faster then me, he shouldn't try and pass me. Its more fuel efficient for him to just stay behind me if he cant get around me quickly. I try to stay at a constant speed and avoid slowing or speeding up as much as possible.
I wouldn't leave them on, but I would flash um real quick to give the other driver a reminder. Normally i flash my running lights as a reminder. But, why dont you just remember to turn them off....its not that hard and there is a big indicator on your dash.
L84AD8, Charli Girl, Rugerfan and 2 others Thank this. -
Try backing off and flowing with the traffic instead of crawling past the truck going 1mph slower than you. That whole argument is a 2 way street.
No, I don't leave my brights on. If you can't see at night without them, drive during the day. And yes, I will let you know you're blinding me, in the hope I can save the driver behind me suffering your ignorance.
2 out of three ain't bad. Parking lot patience is common sense, which, as you pointed out, is missing.Licensed to kill, L84AD8 and Joescheppae Q Thank this. -
So if I'm 1-3 mph faster than you I should just deal with it because you can't afford to lose 1-2 seconds off you clock??
How about half you ####### put your #### phones down and at least attempt to maintain a constant speedSTexan, Raiderfanatic, jdmiller8265 and 1 other person Thank this. -
If it would take me 5 miles to pass someone, then I need to stay in the right lane BEHIND the truck in front of me, at least until I can pass without holding up 30 vehicles for too long. that is just my rule I apply to myself.
RevKev, blairandgretchen, jdmiller8265 and 2 others Thank this. -
How about if you're getting passed, don't speed up.
FatDaddy, blairandgretchen, jdmiller8265 and 7 others Thank this. -
whether someone can see without high beams is completely irreverent. it doesn't change the fact that you also blinding him is way more dangerous for everyone else on the road than you just dealing with it. But ok, sometime when your kid is in a carr next to a truck with its high beams on, you stick to the idea that the truck conning the other way should blind him back.
it doesn't matter how slowly the other person is passing you, he's going faster, let him by. in duke states, it's actually your ticket, not his, if you stay next to him. there ARE laws out there about yielding to being passed on a 4 lane rd. on a2 lane road, I'm hoping everyone here let's the other truck out of oncoming traffic. Should he have waited until traffic want an issue to pass? of course. But sometime you're going be stick behind that pass... -
I think that there are more important thinga than this.
L84AD8, Tonythetruckerdude and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
... In other words, don't be an inconsiderate jerk. Thing is if you're too much of a jerk, you will never know when you're being an inconsiderate jerk. There are some here and you can be sure they take these same attitudes to the roadways.
Raiderfanatic and coastie Thank this.
